Everlane Way High Curvy Jean: A Review

I’m officially a barrel-leg jean girlie and I don’t care who knows it. I’m a huge fan of the horseshoe jeans, but The Way High Curve Jean from Everlane makes this trendy silhouette extremely wearable and easy to style.

With a front rise of 12″ and two inseam options, these curvy way-high jeans are a chic addition to any wardrobe in my humble opinion.

All too often, I love the idea of jeans, more than the actual wearing of jeans. I think we all have pairs of jeans that are for standing only, ya know?

But these are somehow the perfect combination of structure and comfort.

Hint hint, I love them.

The Curvy Way High Jean Sizing

I found this particular pair to be true to size. Made with organic cotton and a hint of elastane, this denim has minimum stretch and doesn’t sag.

They are intended to be ankle length and I find that to be true with my normal size and inseam.

The size charts on the Everlane website I find to be extremely helpful. I took my hip measurement and waist measurement and was able to figure out what size to get pretty easily.

I *might* recommend going with your larger size if you prefer a slightly baggier fit. However, if you’re looking for something a little more curve-hugging – stay TTS. I can confidently say I would not take your smaller size.

One of my favorite parts of these curvy jeans is just how flattering they are for my body type. I’m curvier on the bottom than I am on the top and these jeans skim and drape in a way that leaves me feeling confident and put together.

I don’t feel stuffed into anything and because the high rise and waist comes up over my belly button, I feel secure and snatched.

The Curvy Way High Jean Review

These are the perfect horseshoe jeans for the folks who don’t like horseshoe jeans.

The fit is superb, the silhouette elegant and cool, and the price point is pretty reasonable compared to similar silhouettes from different brands. These are $128 and come in five colorways.

I’ve reached for them nearly every single day since they arrived and am already plotting what color to get next. (White? Brown? Both?)

Because I love to examine my feelings, I made a pro/con list about my new favorite silhouette denim.

pros
  • Soft fabric for easy wearing
  • Fun silhouette that is trendy, but not overly done
  • Wearable colorways to easily fit into any denim lineup
  • Easily elevates casual outfits
  • No waist gap!
cons
  • Longer inseam isn’t available all the time
  • Higher rise can cause wedgies (TMI?)
  • The largest size is a 33, not super inclusive for all body types and sizes

If you’re on the fence about these, I honestly say go for it. They’re such an easy way to add a little edge to an outfit. They have an instant cool factor.

Let me know if you’re going for it and if you have any questions about fit, styling or, sizing!
